Brand new for 2022, we are proud to announce the launch of our own bespoke garden studio range.

Garden rooms are one of the most popular new products on the residential market for homeowners. It’s easy to see why; they offer a stylish and practical addition to any home without the need for planning permission.

For a lot of people, these are a great way to add an extra room to their home without the massive expense and headache of extensions or planning officers.

They are practical as well; garden studios are used for a multitude of purposes including:

• Home offices (as working from home is still on the rise)
• Gyms
• Entertainment rooms or ‘Man caves’
• Guest room
• Bar
• Playroom for children

Why The Trade Village Studio?

The ‘garden room’ market is already evolving as many manufacturers are looking to get a slice of the action. The profit margins in this sector are very high for the supplier and installers, so there are already many options available.

At the lower end, there are timber-only structures that are basically large sheds. This is more like a traditional summerhouse and is fine for occasional use. However, these offer nowhere near the practicality of the more up-market composite garden buildings, which can be turned into a comfortable and fully functional room fitted with electrics, running water, plasterboards etc.

The one problem with most garden buildings on the market is the cost; for some homeowners, it is simply too much of a stretch. Our studio has been developed with this in mind, so we aim to provide the customer with the same standard of a high-end composite garden building but at a more affordable cost.

What’s more, the product has been designed to be very simple to fit. A competent DIY-er should have no problem with assembly, and for an experienced window/door installer they will be a breeze.

What is the construction of Trade Village composite garden rooms?

The studio itself is ordered to bespoke sizes and made up of 600mm modular panels. This size was chosen as it will fit most popular plasterboards internally, to again make installation easier.

The base, framework and corner posts are all connected, and once the structure is set up the panels simply click into place. The sloped roof is also supplied.

A ‘Naked’ Delivery

The garden studio is delivered ‘naked’, which means that you or the customer can source your own external finish and also internal plasterboards.

Not only does this bring the initial cost down, but the wealth of external cladding options available now means it’s usually best left to the customer to source their own. There are a huge range of options from composite cladding, timber and more.

Internal plasterboards are left out because this is a tricky item to move without incurring damage. They can also usually be bought cheaper local, so it makes sense to source these direct.

N.B don’t forget we supply a range of Cladco and Millboard wall cladding, and can provide a quote for your studio in either. Simply request this on the quote form when you submit it.

Assisted First Fit

Depending on your location, we may be able to offer technical support with an assisted first fit. Please request this before placing your order to see if the area can be covered.
